Does anyone have evidence-based information or guidelines about the safety of breastfeeding from the unaffected breast during radiation therapy for breast cancer (probable DCIS)? I am seeing a mother who just underwent a lumpectomy and is continuing to breastfeeding from the unaffected breast. She will start radiotherapy in a few weeks. She wants to know if she can continue to breastfeeding during the radiotherapy from the unaffected breast.
