    Mastitis is still initially treated with dicloxacillin. If the main and flu-like symptoms don't resolve in several days, then the next best choice is Clindamycin.

    But these recommendations can change according to cultures, etc.

    Hello! I’m trying to locate information I remember coming out >11 years ago about deep, shooting breast pains being bacterial and treated with two antibacterial agents. I have it in my memory that Dr Hale wrote about this. I could be wrong. I also have in my memory that it was rifampin or vancomycin in this plan. Can anyone help me locate this information?
