Mastitis is still initially treated with dicloxacillin. If the main and flu-like symptoms don't resolve in several days, then the next best choice is Clindamycin.
But these recommendations can change according to cultures, etc.

Duct Pain, Info from many years ago
Hello! I’m trying to locate information I remember coming out >11 years ago about deep, shooting breast pains being bacterial and treated with two antibacterial agents. I have it in my memory that Dr Hale wrote about this. I could be wrong. I also have in my memory that it was rifampin or vancomycin in this plan. Can anyone help me locate this information?Tags: None
