  • Z pack, amoxicillin and tobramycin

    Good evening,
If a two year old, who is breastfed, is taking oral amoxicillin and on his last day of dosage the mother became sick and was prescribed tobramycin eye drops and given a z pack of oral antibiotics can the mother take these antibiotics and eye drops while breastfeeding safely? If so, is it best to wait until the child has finished the amoxicillin or is that not necessary? If it’s best to wait starting the mother’s medication how long is recommended? Thank you

    Rozzb:

Mom can continue to take med and breastfeed. Baby can take amoxicillin as well. Amount in milk is low.
