PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, what is the most recent info I can give our docs who have suddenly discovered the black box FDA caution and are not allowing our babies to go to breast (or take pumped milk) until at least 12 hrs after the last dose. Since we're still fighting the formula-is-fine battle here, these babies are getting lots of formula before they ever go near a breast, and since alternative feeding methods are "too much trouble", they are also getting nipple preferenced along the way. Who do we contact at the FDA to get the supporting evidence for their blanket rule here (if there is any). Can Dr. Nice help with this problem?

Methergine
Our Neo printed an exerpt from Medscape which states we cannot allow a woman to breastfeed if she received Methergine. I printed out your information and the link you posted. She still maintains that we cannot let the baby breastfeed. How do you approach such a knee jerk reaction?
