Is topical Medihoney on the nipples safe for the in fan? Any risk of active spores or transition of infant botulism? Do you know of any studies looking at this?
Nancy Brent
Hi Nancy - did you ever get a response from anyone (here or elsewhere) on this topic? Apparently Medihoney is mentioned in the Step 2 Breastfeeding online course and one of our health authorities have indicated that they don't consider Medihoney safe for nipple treatment. I'd be very interested in a response from Infant Risk.
