Curcumin is rated an L3-no data-probably compatible. "Curcumin can either potentiate or decrease the action of certain medications and therefore, caution should be used when taking prescription medications and using curcumin. Probably safe during breastfeeding, but due to possible interaction with metabolism of prescription drugs, minimize use if mother or infant are on other medications concurrently."

In rat studies the pups had decreased weight gain when the mother was given doses greater than 320mg/kg, and increased liver enzymes. This herb can inhibit platelet aggregation so monitor your infant for any unusual bruising or bleeding, and GI upset, such as vomiting, diarrhea, gas etc.
