Mom has been nursing 16-month old daughter once a day. Had mercury filling removed with no special precautions taken. Has been pumping and dumping since, but regrets not being able to continue the one feeding per day until her toddler is ready to stop. With a 70-day half life I'm thinking she has weaned the baby due to this exposure. Is there any way to assess the safety of continuing one nursing a day following this exposure?

Sure, do mercury levels in her milk, but few know how to do this, and I think it would be a waste of time and money. Remember, an infant gets more mercury during pregnancy, than it ever will via milk.
I would not worry about it at all. The probable levels in milk will be insignificant at this point.
